ABOUT LESLIE REICHERT
My decision to enter the teaching profession began because I have always loved creating and studying art and want to share that passion with others. As I study art more, I believe the visual aspect of art integrates critical thinking that is essential in student development. My objective for teaching is to introduce skills, information, and techniques in order to transfer the same enjoyment I generate through creating to my students.
Not only did I study art education with a specialization in painting, but I also have a minor in general business. The entrepreneurship side of art has interested me in pursuing a background to learn how to better commission artwork. Through studying business, I have sold various painted picnic tables, toy chests, and canvas work. While a student at BGSU, I have also been involved with community mural projects in downtown Toledo.
